Capital One is announcing their FREE Coders Experience for female students interested in STEM. This program is presented by the Virginia Secretary of Technology and powered by Capital One at various campus locations on October 14th and 21st!
Exactly what is the Coders Experience?
- a One Day event where girls learn how to create their own mobile app!
- They’ll participate in individual and team problem solving and software development activities
- Open to 6th-8th grade girls who are interested in a free, fun, interactive experience

In our efforts to expand our open communication Brookland is joining the pilot program to give our parent’s their own access to Schoology. Schoology allows easy to access from any internet device and can be setup to send emails directly to your inbox with the most up-to-date information on your student’s progress. A letter was sent home last Tuesday (2/21/17) and provided instructions for creating your Schoology parent account. The information is also available on our school website if you missed the letter.
